ARE AMERICANS TOO BROKEN FOR THE TRUTH TO SET US FREE….absolutely and the INTERNET can be blamed for much of it. Consider this: there are very few activisits in the Streets of America protesting the injustices all around us. Why? because they are blogging on the internet, grabbing a thought here or there, visiting websites that support their views…Not reading a book where you get the full monty….but on the internet a catch phrase or a tiny story on a huge subeject like health care does little to deliver the information you need to make concrete decisions. While the internet is powerful and we can get information in a second…it is also destroying us because there is no real on the ground investigation…we believe what we read without fact checking. We have no social networks, or close friends. the internet can take you on a trip around the world, it can be your best friends (on line friends), you will never meet or get to know. We are becoming a paranoid bunch without having formed appropriate friendships and allegiances.
There is no protest in the streets, because we are filling out on line PETITIONS. As if those petitions means a twit to the powers that be. We must begin to challenge the time we spend on the net, the lack of real knowledge from reading a book on the subject, we need to be IN THE STREETS AND ON OUR FEET IF WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE ANYTHING IN AMERIKKAA.
